I am concerned about my privacy. How does Jewish Family Services keep my confidentiality secure?
All communications with Jewish Family Services are confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent.

Who is eligible for services?
All individuals or families within the greater York area are eligible for services, regardless of religious, ethnic or racial distinctions.

How are my services paid for?
Fees are on a sliding scale based on income, family size, etc. Some services may be covered by your health insurance or Medicare. Jewish Family Services receives funding from a variety of grants, and the generous support of many private donors in the community, known as "Friends of Jewish Family Services." Programs with specific Jewish content are supported in part by an annual allocation from the United Jewish Community of York.

Who provides your counseling and case management services?
The Executive Director of Jewish Family Services of York, Joan Krechmer, is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. She provides counseling and supervises the case management /program staff. Other staff include: Jessica Brein, Parenting Specialist/Program & Service Manager, who is also a certified Geriatric Care Manager; and Deena Gross, Staying Connected Director.

How are appointments made?
Consultations are by appointment. Evening hours and home visits are available, depending upon need. For an appointment call 843-5011 during regular office hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Friday, until 4 PM.

How do I get to Jewish Family Services?
Jewish Family Services is located in the handicap-accessible York Jewish Community Center building, 2000 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403. The private entrance to our office suite is in back of the building, with convenient parking available by our entrance. A link to a map for the site is at the bottom of this page.
